ProKennex Ionic Technology

According to ProKennex the new Ionic-AKS technology offers a 56% performance improvement over the original Kinetic System. The use of a new composite Kinetic material and a process designed to reduce the build up of static electrical force inside the Kinetic strip adds even more power and further reduces frame shock and vibration compared to the original Kinetic System.

ProKennex Kinetic System Technology

Thousands of micro-bearings are housed inside chambers around the racquet head. As the racquet swings forward, the micro-bearings move to the back wall of the frame, loading energy. When the racquet strikes the ball, this kinetic mass transfers forward, adding power and reducing frame shock and vibration.

ProKennex Reach Technology

A term meaning any ProKennex racquet longer than the standard 27 inch length. Reach racquets provide more power (leverage), extend reach, and provide better angles when serving.

ProKennex Core1 System Technology

FEATURE: Once the ball collides with the strings of the Core1 racquet, the frame consisting of two independent cylinders, responds. Upon impact one cylinder (A) reacts and flexes creating a vibration pattern. At the same time the other cylinder (B) reacts and flexes creating an opposite vibration pattern. A wood core spine, which links the two cylinders, allows these opposing vibrations to collide, which neutralizes the shock. Wood is a natural filter of vibrations. While managing the collision to reduce shock it also shapes the vibrations into solid information to the player during the shot.

PREMISE: Brings the "feel" back into tennis. Much of the new technology is devoted to power and lightness. Control and feel have been sacrificed. ProKennex believes it is time to make tennis more enjoyable by bringing back the feel of the ball and the fun of the game.

THE RESULT: The player feels the ball on the strings because much of the disruptive initial shock is eliminated while the wood shapes the vibrations into information a player can use.

Benefits:
# Better feel of the ball on the strings
# More focused energy transfer
# Better control
# Easier on the body
