Volkl DNX

DNX is a new unique material structure featuring high-strength micro tube construction that is 25 times stronger than regular carbon fibers. DNX is an entirely new material class whose properties represent the fourth dimension of carbon. DNX has strength characteristics that have never been reached before, a true break-through in material development, now exclusively available in the new DNX Racquet Series by Volkl Tennis.

Volkl Catapult Technology

1. Pre-Load - Activating the Catapult: The Catapult is a spring freely mounted onto the frame and is pre-loaded during the stringing process.

2. Control Phase - Receive Time: As the ball hits the string bed, the Catapult spring compresses and energizes or "loads" the catapult, thus creating a deeper string bed pocket. The increase in receive time (the Control Phase) results in 30% more control and a larger sweetspot.

3. Power Phase - Release Time: The explosive resetting of the Catapult shortens the release time (the Power Phase) by 30%, delivering more power. Power is further enhanced because the ball compresses less and retains more of its own energy.

Volkl Power Big Grommet

According to Volkl, the funnel-shaped molded Big Grommets integrated into the frame give the maximum sweetspot size, ensuring the greatest possible power and comfort.

Volkl Classic Big Grommet

Funnel-shaped grommets allow the strings to move more freely. The result is a significant improvement in precision and control on off-center hits. Ideal for players with slower more compact strokes.

Volkl Vibration Control Handle

The Vibration Control Handle features an EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) sheath surrounding the handle of the racquet shaft. Designed to help dampen vibration and provide some added protection for arm muscles and joints, this is visible technology you can actually see through the butt cap of the racquet.

Volkl Sensor Handle System

Sensor Handle System Includes a two part racquet shaft and TechnoGel surrounded by EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate). This is visible technology you can actually see through the butt cap of the racquet. Designed to dampen vibration without sacrificing touch, playtests seem to verify that the Sensor Handle System does contribute to a more comfortable and forgiving feel.

Volkl Sensor Tour Handle System

Includes a two part racquet shaft and TechnoGel surrounded by EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate). This is visible technology you can actually see through the butt cap of the racquet. Designed to dampen vibration without sacrificing touch, playtests seem to verify that the Sensor Handle System does contribute to a more comfortable and forgiving feel.

Volkl 3D Power Max Frame

3D Power Max Frame This frame technology increases stiffness along the entire length of the racquet. The cross-section shape varies along the racquet beam, yet the circumference of the cross-section remains constant. This keeps the racquet light weight and maneuverable without sacrificing torsional stability.

There are 3 key cross-sections along the length of the racquet. These comprise 3D Power Max Frame Technology and each maintains a specific purpose:

1. The rectangular cross-section at the tip of the racquet head: this increases stiffness and adds power.
2. The kidney-shaped central cross-section: this provides a deeper string pocket upon ball impact - a feature designed to increase feel and touch.
3. The oval cross-section in the throat: promotes torsional stability.

Volkl Dynamic PCP: Power Control Pattern

According to Volkl, the dense string pattern in the racquet's sweetspot ensures that power is controllable. Balls hit outside the sweetspot maintain optimal power and comfort thanks to the more open string bed.

Volkl Twin Absorber

This dampening system, especially developed for tournament racquets, is comprised of a two part racquet shaft injected with an integral foam. The result is a reduction of torsional shock by 60% and vibration by 40%.

Volkl Power RAP

The tuning kit adds 0.4 oz/12 g of weight, protects the frame and strings and adds more power and stability to the racquet.

Volkl Pure Fibre

10 % more fibers with the same racquet weight for even more stability, performance and durability.

Volkl V-Engine

V-Engine is Volkl Tennis' new "V" shaped yoke-bridge construction.
* Longer main strings for more power and control
* Deeper string pocket for more power control and feel
* Sweet-spot expands along the main strings as opposed to cross strings as with Catapult More torsional stability

V-Engine in the New Tour Series:
* Performance performance performance
* Increased Sweet-Spot and Stability
* Unique look
* Volkl Heritage

Volkl Energy Box and Energy Shaft

Energy Box and Energy Shaft beam construction work together to deliver enhanced racquet head stability and a more powerful response by increasing beam stiffness in key areas.

Energy Box: located at the 5 & 7 o'clock positions on the racquet face, the Energy Box is supported with Titanium and Lite Carbon. This material mix along with the box shape construction is designed to increase stability in the racquet. On off-center shots, the Energy Box works to stabilize the racquet for smoother and more precise shot making.

Energy Shaft: The unique triangle shaped shaft construction was developed for one reason: POWER. The Energy Shaft stiffens the shaft area of the racquet, resulting in less energy loss and hence adding more power to every shot.
